Safety Rules
- Absolutely NO running while on the range it is very slippery when wet.
- Know your target and shoot only at it.
- Never point or aim a drawn bow at another person.
- Never draw or shoot your bow when anyone is between you and your target.
- Never shoot at a target or object until you are sure that
it is capable of stopping your arrows and the area behind and
around the target is clear.
- Never shoot arrows straight up into the air or in any
direction where you might destroy property or endanger life.
- Never allow anyone to retrieve arrows until all arrows
have been shot.
- Never pull back and release a bowstring without an arrow
attached. This is called "dry firing a bow". Each time
it occurs you significantly reduce the life expectancy of
the bow and may cause immediate damage to both the bow
and yourself.
- Do not attempt to draw your bow beyond its maximum
draw length as damage could result.
- Do not cross the shooting line for any reason until
"All Clear" has been signaled and instructed to do so
by the instructor.
- Carry all arrows with the tips pointing down.
- Watch for arrows bouncing out of target.
