Objective of Youth Archery Instructions
- Introduction to the sport of archery
- To learn how to safely use a bow and arrow
- Familiarization with various types of archery and equipment
- Shooting techniques
- Scoring method
Children the physical size of an average 10 year old or older may participate. This generally allows them the strength to handle the bow. Adults must accompany children at all times. Some parental participation maybe required for safety. The parent who will attend with the child should be at the orientation.
None. All necessary equipment will be provided during the instructions.
The Youth lessons are open to the public with lessons being held on the indoor range for 6 weeks. There is an orientation and safety class prior to the start of classes for beginners (only one is required) that must be attended to prior to shooting in the league. Beginners classes (juniors) will be held from 5pm to 6pm and 6pm to 7pm, with intermediate classes (seniors) held from 7pm to 8pm. The fee for the 6 wk course is $50.00 Space is limited so please register early. Please contact the youth education coordinator for any questions you may have.
There will be a mandatory orientation for new archers only in, November 5 th at 6:00 PM. Non-refundable payment of $50.00 is due at that time. Should there be inclement weather, and you aren’t sure if classes will be held, please call Tom Houston cell phone 914-474-1113 . We will have make-up sessions for classes missed due to weather.
Fall Classes will begin in November 6th & 7th.,Monday and Tuesday evenings and will run for 6 weeks finishing in Dec.
MONDAYS or TUESDAYS (Please note for new students ORIENTATION will be November 6th at 6:00pm).
Winter Classes will begin with orientation on Jan. . Classes start on Jan th 2018 Monday and Jan th Tuesday evenings thru Feb.
Spring 2018 classes will begin with Orientation on Feb 19th and classes on Monday Feb 20th and Tuesday Feb. 21st thru April
5:00pm to 6:00pm for (beginners)
6″00pm to 7:00pm for (beginners)
7:00pm to 8:00pm for seniors (intermediate)
